Windows and Doors
Installation of new and replacement windows and doors. Andersen, Pella, Marvin and Therma-Tru brands. Double pane with argon, U-factor per Oregon Energy Code.
Execution
Sealing decides everything.
Window replacement is where installation detail shows the most. A poorly sealed window compromises the energy efficiency of the entire envelope. We work with flashing tape (Vycor or equivalent), low-expansion foam sealing in the interior perimeter, exterior sealant compatible with the frame material, and verify plumb and level before fastening. Same approach for doors: sealed threshold, proper flashing, correct frame adjustment.
