Structure comes first.

A safe deck starts with the structure: properly sized posts with concrete footing support, metal joist hangers at every connection, ledger board sealed with appropriate flashing against the wall, stainless steel or type 2 galvanized fasteners in humid climates. We build to the International Residential Code applicable to Oregon, with any required permits processed before starting.
